Project:
Florida Skunk Ape, LLC was interested in building a Web site to meet the niche market of Florida Skunk Ape (Florida’s Bigfoot) fans.

Client Goals:
Create a central meeting point for all southern United States Bigfoot enthusiasts.  The site needed to have a store, sightings database, a way for users to submit sightings, connect to social networks and a new look.

Solution Provided:
I originally built the first Florida Skunk Ape Web site in 1996(prior to SiteDoodle), using custom HTML code. A couple years later I converted the Web site, adding many more features, with a dynamic middleware software called Lasso.  In 2001 the site was converted to a custom PHP/MYSQL solution, and existed that way until January 2010.

In January of 2010 the Web site was re-launched, this time, using WordPress as the foundation. A custom theme was created with built-in e-commerce capabilities, a sightings database, an affiliate program, banner rotation software, hooks to all the social networks, PayPal donations button, announcements to over 300 services for each post, SEO and many more customizations.
